CALL FOR ARTIST
The Pendulum Gallery 2025
Each year, the Pendulum Gallery manifests as a sacred vessel for art that speaks to the delicate dance between human creativity and Earth's wisdom. For our 2025 exhibition at Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch, we seek visual artists whose work explores themes of balance, transformation, and our evolving relationship with the natural world. Opening on September 25th, this carefully curated sanctuary will gather pieces that invite viewers to contemplate their role in restoring harmony between ancient knowledge and future vision, personal healing, and collective awakening. As the central point in our grid, the gallery will represent the still point of the pendulum—perfectly balanced. Laid out to honor the directions that guide and guard the energies of the land, the gallery will offer a central altar space with opportunities to work with the sacred plant energies of Sage, Tobacco, Sweetgrass, and Cedar.
Each piece in the Pendulum Gallery will correspond to a gate holding the container for our balance. Please read the options carefully as you choose which gate most calls to your pieces.

In the East Gate, we honor Air and Spring's rising sun - the first breath of life, birth and rebirth, soaring birds, and dawn's greeting. This sacred direction connects us to higher perspectives and the awakening mind, where each sunrise brings new beginnings.

In the South Gate, we honor Fire and Summer's blazing energy - the passionate force of adolescence, kundalini rising, and the power of transmutation. This sacred direction holds our inner light and creative spark, keeping us pure as we transform through life's heat.

The West Gate flows with Water and Fall, guiding us into self-discovery through feeling and life's core DNA. Here, as we grow, we embrace our truth through deeper knowing of self and community.

The North Gate honors the sacred wisdom of Earth and Winter, where ancient knowledge harmonizes with ritual practice and the guidance of wise elders lights our path home. Here, in this sacred space of leadership and ancestral knowing, we connect with time-tested ceremonies and healing traditions that ground us in profound universal truths.
